A Solution Born From Experience

Eco-Smart was developed in response to the devastating aftermath of the 2017 Freetown flooding and mudslide, which claimed more than 1,000 lives and displaced thousands of families. The tragedy highlighted a critical gap in access to timely information, disaster preparedness, and community awareness

Eco-Smart was created with the belief that climate resilience solutions must be inclusive, accessible, and community-driven. The platform focuses on empowering vulnerable and underserved communities with the information and tools needed to reduce disaster risks and strengthen resilience.

By combining climate technology with grassroots participation, Eco-Smart is helping communities move from reactive responses to proactive preparedness.
